Choco-là was originally started as a hobby in December 2003. The idea of starting a 100% chocolate boutique was a challenging one back then with difficulties in sourcing the right ingredients, the right cocoa and the temperature control while making chocolate. The initial years were spent in trial and error, welcoming a lot of positive criticism.
In March 2006 a chocolate training to France for the love of Chocolates changed everything. Back in India, EBONY FOODS’ Choco-là was incorporated in 2008 and Choco-là – Pondicherry’s 1st and exclusive chocolates and chocolate desserts boutique opened for business on the 23rd of August 2009.

Choco-là offers a vast range of chocolates, which include dark chocolates rich in cocoa, single origin oriented naturally flavoured chocolates, creamy white chocolates, sugar-free chocolates, semi sweet chocolates, pure hazelnut pralines, exclusive ganaches, exquisite truffles and chocolate related desserts.
Our approach towards work is seen more as a labour of love – that’s Ebony Foods’ Choco-là. A commitment to customer satisfaction and qualitatively consistent Chocolates and Chocolate related Desserts remains our main commitment to being a significant player in the food segment.
EBONY FOODS’ Choco-là is and has constantly been aware of and dedicated itself towards various social projects for the betterment of society.
A few of our social obligations is the annual fund raiser for Mahesh Memorial Trust – pediatrics wing, the project aims at putting a smile on the faces of tiny tots who suffer from cancer.
EBONY FOODS’ Choco-là’s ray of hope focuses on gifting a smile to the deprived senior citizens of Hospice – This project focuses on making homeless senior citizens happy by spending quality time with them and taking care of some of their personal needs.
One instance of our numerous community development programs is the “help them learn” project which has taken a step towards teaching less privileged women from the economically weaker background in Basic Pastries and Chocolate making. On successful completion of this course, they are absorbed in EBONY FOODS’ Choco-là.
The firm equally participates and contributes in and for programs organized by the Rotary International.
